A CLOSER LOOK
A rooftop night beside the lake
The two couples’ suites have rooftop Star Beds and private plunge pools, bringing outdoor space into the centre of the stay. The exclusive-use villa offers a different rhythm, with dedicated guiding and in-villa dining for a party sharing its own base. Couples can enjoy the independence of a suite, while a family or friends can gather around the villa’s common spaces and meals. Both choices look towards Lake Rwanyakazinga.

A CLOSER LOOK
A private peninsula in Akagera
The property stands on a private peninsula, with boating access from a jetty and solar power forming part of its operating approach. Night drives, boating and fishing can add different perspectives to the stay, with the programme shaped around conditions. These add ways to use the lake setting beyond its view from the accommodation. Compared with the original Wilderness Magashi camp, the Peninsula places greater emphasis on private pools, outdoor sleeping spaces and the villa’s shared household rhythm.
THE RWANDA DMC PERSPECTIVE
A suite for two, or a shared villa
The first decision is whether you want a suite for two or a private villa around which the whole party can gather. For a family, the villa’s dedicated guiding and in-villa meals can support a shared daily rhythm; couples may prefer the independence of a standalone suite. If a rooftop night is part of the appeal, discuss the Star Bed arrangement and suitable conditions before building the evening around it. A night drive and an outdoor sleep-out create different experiences, so there is no need to pursue both simply because they are available. We would give the private pool and lake-facing spaces their own time, and choose the activity programme around that balance.
